In the binary convention used in computer courses and by Windows, 1 KB is equal to how much?
Answer: B. 1024 bytes
In the binary convention each unit is 1024 times the previous one, so 1 KB is 1024 bytes. Storage makers often use 1000 bytes instead.
Which statement about a private (Incognito or InPrivate) window is correct?
Answer: C. It does not keep your history on the computer, but websites and your network can still see your activity
A private window only avoids saving history, cookies and form data on that device. Websites, your network and your internet provider can still see what you do.
Your typing speed has stopped improving for two weeks. What should you do?
Answer: D. Treat it as a normal plateau: slow down, aim for accuracy and drill your weak letter pairs
Plateaus are a normal part of learning. Focusing on accuracy, weak letter pairs and new passages helps you move past them.
The student portal has a typing test with live highlighting as you type. It works out your net words per minute and your accuracy, and saves each result so you can watch your speed improve.
